AFL-CIO: Workers Want To Raise Up Our Own Voices With Unions

AFL-CIO President Rich Trumka says American workers need a president who sees workers as "partners to be engaged, not as subjects to be manipulated."

Trumka says workers don't need a savior to speak for us, we want to raise up our own voices through unions.

Trumka says unions are critical to the fabric of American democracy. He says presidential publicity stunts and Twitter rants are no substitute for a "comprehensive, coherent economic strategy that invests in America and lifts up the voices and the power of working people."
