[In Person] Ethernet Protocols 101 - Jun 27 2023

Lighting control networks are now more than just DMX and dimmers. Many sets have hundreds of lighting devices on a network and Ethernet connects everything together. This course covers the purpose of Ethernet, CAT cable, ethernet switches, IP addressing, wifi, fiber, and network design considerations. This material is for any occupation within 728 from the CLT to LCP to the SLT.

This class covers topics that are listed as being in the content outline for the ETCP Entertainment Electrician Certification Exam.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION YOU MUST KNOW:
• This CSATTF-funded class requires that you have completed all of your SAFETY PASS classes. You can check your status at https://portal.csatf.org/roster/general
• You may only take this course once within the CSATTF Training Eligibility Window (see Additional Information below for more details.)
• Placement in this class is not guaranteed until your eligibility with CSATTF and Local 728 is confirmed.
• Seating for this class is limited.

IMPORTANT: This CSATTF-funded class requires that you have completed all of your SAFETY PASS classes. • You must not have taken the Ethernet Protocols 101 class since January 1, 2022 • There will be NO LOTTERY for this class BUT you will not be placed in this class until your eligibility has been confirmed with CSATTF and Local 728 • Members who sign up and have previously taken this class within the current eligibility period will be placed on the waiting list. • Due to the short time frame before the class, if you are not current with your Safety Pass classes, you will be placed on the waiting list. • Seating for this class is limited.
