[In Person] Basic DMX for the Set Lighting Technician

This one-day class "Basic DMX for Set Lighting Technicians" provides a comprehensive introduction to DMX for film professionals. Participants will gain a solid understanding of fixture numbering and DMX addressing, learning how to assign unique DMX addresses to individual fixtures for precise control. The course also covers the essentials of DMX and data networking, enabling technicians to effectively troubleshoot and optimize their lighting setups. Through hands-on practice, attendees will become proficient in operating lighting consoles, data nodes, and opti-splitters, ensuring seamless communication and synchronization between lighting devices. This class equips set lighting technicians with the fundamental skills needed to navigate DMX systems confidently and efficiently.

This class is different from our DMX Networking 101 so you are eligible to take both classes.
