Member-To-Member Dues Donation Program

Sign up for our Member-To-Member Dues Donation program!
Active, non-retired Local 728 members in financial need can sign up to receive a quarter’s dues donation from another member who is willing to donate one or more quarter’s dues.
The process is entirely anonymous and randomized.

Program Details
Drawings will be held beginning in the week prior to dues being due and continue until there are no more donors on the list.

Notice of member passing: Paul J. Caven on 5/24/26

We regret to inform the membership of the passing of Paul J. Caven at the age of 79. Paul took his oath of obligation on January 13, 1968, received his 50-year service pin in 2018 and IATSE Honorary Retirement Card in 2024.

Paul dedicated many years of service to Local 728, which include: Central Labor Council, IA and District 2 Delegate, Executive Board Member, and was appointed as Chairperson to the Print Directory and Web Page Committees.

We regret to inform the membership of the passing of Brother Charles Sears at the age of 55. Brother Sears was a 20-year member of Local 728 who took his oath of obligation on July 30, 2005. He received his 20-year service pin in August 2025.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 7 at the Navy Golf Course, 5660 Orangewood Ave, Cypress, CA 90630

Notice of member passing: Jack Golden on 10-28-25

We regret having to report the passing of Brother Jack Golden on October 28th, age 83. Brother Golden was a 58-year member of Local 728 who took his oath of obligation in November 1966. Jack retired in 2008 after over 42 years of working on set. Jack worked through the set lighting departments of Universal, Paramount, MGM, Samuel Goldwyn & Columbia studios.
