Chicago Workers To Get Guaranteed Paid Sick Leave in 2017 - 42% Don't Have It Now

It's still a year away, but in July of 2017 Chicago workers will get guaranteed paid sick leave. The Chicago City Council voted to approve the paid sick leave. Congratulations to the AT&T workers represented by the Communications Workers of America, Local 9003, who reached a settlement following a grievance strike. Workers had walked off the job in protest due to the unjust suspension of one of its members, but with the settlement workers will now be guaranteed a fair due process if their managers act in bad faith.

AFA-CWA Meets To Approve Labor Contract Terms For 25,000 United Flight Attendants

Twenty-five thousand union flight attendants have reached joint collective bargaining contract terms with United Airlines on a new labor contract.
