Lighting Control, Networking, and Programming Workflow

Setting up and testing lighting control systems for live event production used to be pretty simple, and it’s increasingly becoming more digital and networked. This 2-day class covers how to set up, test, and troubleshoot DMX, Ethernet, and Art-Net systems, use RDM to quickly and remotely configure and monitor your equipment, as well as program and run the lighting from a console or computer running lighting control software with an emphasis in hands-on activities and learning. The programming portion focuses on workflow and less on syntax, although some basic console-specific syntax will be covered in order to complete the exercises. Bring your laptop (PC or Mac) for programming and networking exercises.
