This introductory course is for new programmers (and those who are considering being a programmer) and focuses what it takes to work as a console programmer in the motion picture industry. This forum will cover the foundational skills required for the role, including console selection, control protocol skills, developing and reading spreadsheets and light plots, and workflows that increase your skills on the desk under the pressure of production. In addition to the technical, this course will also cover the "soft" skills such as collaborative skills, the necessity to learn design language, and parts of the contract you should know.
This is an interactive forum-based class to prepare you for more advanced hands on training and work in this part of our industry, so please bring in your questions about programming.
