Los Angeles Labor Thanks Senator Harris on Her Presidential Run

The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, representing over 300 labor unions, will continue to work with CA Senator Kamala Harris in the fights ahead.

Earlier today, California Senator Kamala Harris announced the suspension of her presidential campaign. While we regret to hear that Senator Harris will no longer be in the race, the working people of Los Angeles are proud of the Senator for her bold leadership and for taking our California values to the national stage.

From the beginning, Senator Harris has remained steadfast in her support of the working people of this country by holding corporations accountable and advocating for a worker’s right to organize. Just this year, she stood with Kaiser Permanente workers here in Los Angeles in their fight for a union contract and spoke in front of thousands at LAX at the #UnionsForAll rally in support of immigrant workers and rideshare drivers of Uber and Lyft.

Senator Harris understands that a good union job is essential for a strong economy and the health of our communities. We appreciate her partnership and collaboration over the years. We look forward to continuing our work of improving the lives of men and women across the country.

Thank you, Senator Harris, for being a voice for the working people of California.
