5-5-2020 OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard

As some states look to reopen their economies and send people back into workplaces, it is imperative that every entertainment worker has the right to a safe environment.

Unfortunately, the Labor Department continues to insist that no new standards or protections are necessary, and that safety should be left up to each individual employer.

The fact that the DOL wants to leave the door open and put workers at risk is abhorrent, and we believe no family should have to lose a loved one because of a lack of safety standards.

If you have not already, we urge you click here to send a letter to your reps outlining legislative priorities for entertainment workers and emphasize the need for an OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard to protect all IATSE sisters, brothers, kin from COVID-19.

In solidarity,

Team IATSE
