Brother William Guerre passed away Monday July 10th, according to family.
Bill was 68 years old.
He became a Local 728 member in April of 1978 and was a 45 year member of our union. He retired in 2021.

I regret having to inform the membership of the passing of brother Roger Redel on 6-22-23 at the age of 80. Brother Redel was initiated in February 1967 and was a 55 year member of Local 728. He retired after a 37 year career.

Brother Earl Gilbert passed away at the age of 97 on May 11th, 2023. Brother Gilbert was a 68 year member of Local 728 who took his oath of obligation in November 1954. Earl was a "Gaffer's Gaffer" who is widely considered to have been one of the greatest Chief Lighting Technicians in Local 728's history.
His list of credits as a CLT are noteworthy and include, but are not limited to:

Brother Paul Kleinschmidt, age 69 passed away on Sunday, April 16th, 2023. Paul became a member of Local 728 in February, 1980. He retired to Oregon in 2011.

Brother John Seckar, age 82 passed away on March 18th, 2023.
Brother Seckar became a Local 728 member in November of 1966 and was a 56 year member of our union.
John retired in April 2007 after 41 years on the shop floor as a Local 728 lighting technician.

Former Local 728 member Eric D. Smith passed away on Thursday, March 16th at the age of 66.
Brother Smith became a Local 728 member in July of 1976 and was an active member until January, 2010.

Brother Chris Boehm age 48, passed away on March 16th, 2023. Chris was a 10 year member of Local 728.

Charles Smock age 66 passed away on 3-13-2023. Brother Smock was a 44 year member of Local 728. He retired in 2018. He is survived by his brother John, also a Local 728 member and his son Logan.
