Updated services information for the passing of Brother Ronald Ash on 11-24-2023
Brother Ron Ash, age 77 passed away on 11/24/23. Ron received his 45 year member pin in April of this year. He retired in April, 2010 after spending 32 years on stage, working many of those years at Universal Studios.
Notice of member passing: Jennifer "Jen" Galvez on 9-19-23
I greatly regret having to share with the membership that Sister Jennifer Galvez passed away on 9-19-23 on her 51st birthday.
"Jen" was a 26 year member of Local 728, during which time she worked as a rigger, lamp operator, fixtures technician and in recent years a lighting programmer.
Notice of passing: Vicki "Max" Brenner on 8-1-2023
Vicki "Max" Brenner has passed away at the age of 71.
Sister Brenner became a member of Local 728 in October of 1980 and was a 42 year member of 728.
Notice of Passing: Brother William Guerre on July 10th 2023
Brother William Guerre passed away Monday July 10th, according to family.
Bill was 68 years old.
He became a Local 728 member in April of 1978 and was a 45 year member of our union. He retired in 2021.
Notice of passing: Brother Roger Redel on 6-22-23
I regret having to inform the membership of the passing of brother Roger Redel on 6-22-23 at the age of 80. Brother Redel was initiated in February 1967 and was a 55 year member of Local 728. He retired after a 37 year career.
Passings: Tom Wostak age 60 on 6-14-23
I regret having to inform the membership of the passing of Tom Wostak on 6-14-23 at the age of 60 after losing his multi-year battle with cancer.
Brother Wostak became a Local 728 member in July of 2001.
His brother Marc and father Gary are also 728 members.
