Young Workers Committee Clothing Drive - Give Back To The Community

The L728 Young Workers Committee would like to invite all 728 members, families and friends to participate in our Clothing drive to benefit those in need in the greater Los Angeles Area. You can donate your clean wearable or repairable clothing of all types starting now through the September 17th meeting. Please take a minute to try and give back to the community in a time least expected. Stop in at the Local and bring your donations!

2016 IATSE Young Workers Conference

Local 728 has sent two of our Young Workers Committee members to this year's YWC conference, taking place this weekend.
Over 200 young IATSE members have attended the Young Workers Conferences to learn more about the union, the labor movement, organizing, media and messaging, and more. This year, we'll be holding our Conference in Atlanta, GA at IATSE Local 479's union hall.

Please be advised we are on strike against the attached non union commercial company "victor papa" and are attempting to hire a scab crew. We have turned away 2 scabs so far. Please advise your members not to cross this Picket line.
