Ironworker Running Against Paul Ryan – ‘You Can Come Work The Iron And I’ll Go To DC’

Randy Bryce is an Ironworker and labor union activist running for Congress against House Speaker Paul Ryan in the mid-term elections. Bryce is a cancer survivor and sees first hand the impact of health issues on his family and people living in Ryan’s District. This is an excerpt from Randy Bryce’s video announcing his campaign against Ryan.

Randy Bryce: “I’m the best person to represent this district because I’m a working person.

If somebody falls behind, we’re so much stronger if we carry them with us. That’s the way I was raised. We look out for each other.

I think it’s time – let’s trade places. Paul Ryan, you can come work the iron and I’ll go to DC.

We can do so much better together as a community. And out future depends on it.”

Paul Ryan happily celebrated House passage of an appeal of Obamacare that would result in 23 million more working people losing health insurance. Bryce says seeing his mother deal with MS and his own battle against cancer in his 20’s makes healthcare a very important issue for him and he wants workers at the table when those healthcare decisions are made in Washington DC.

Randy Bryce: “I can do so much more and I will do do so much more, takin’ my voice -taking our voice and what we need to Washington DC.

I decided to run for office because not everybody is seated at the table. And we need a bigger table.”
