HILLARY CLINTON AND DONALD TRUMP – POSITIONS AND ACTIONS:

HILLARY CLINTON AND DONALD TRUMP – POSITIONS AND ACTIONS:

THE RIGHT TO STAND UP TOGETHER AT WORK:

HILLARY CLINTON
Believes in the fundamental right of working people to organize and negotiate together for better wages and working conditions.
DONALD TRUMP
Refuses to recognize a union election at his hotel in Las Vegas and his management allegedly assaulted a worker trying to organize.

“RIGHT TO WORK” WHICH ATTACKS THE STRENGTH OF STANDING TOGETHER

HILLARY CLINTON
Opposes Right to Work and other corporate attacks on workers’ rights.
DONALD TRUMP
Would eliminate unions entirely if given the choice, and says he 100% supports Right to Work.

EQUAL PAY:

HILLARY CLINTON
Has fought to make it harder for companies to pay women less than men and has always been a champion of equal pay for equal work.
DONALD TRUMP
Has dismissed the existence of a pay gap, saying women would make as much as men if they “do as good a job.” He was sued for paying a woman on his campaign less than a man who held the same position.

FUNDING FOR THE ARTS:

HILLARY CLINTON
Clinton stood up to Republicans when they tried to strip funding from the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) because she recognizes the importance of the arts in our nation’s culture.
DONALD TRUMP
Trump called for the censorship of some pieces of art and pledged to cut federal funding for the arts if he were to become president.

BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER:

HILLARY CLINTON
Clinton has a long history of fighting for equality. She knows we are stronger when we work together to solve our problems so everyone can succeed.
DONALD TRUMP
Donald Trump has done nothing but divide us with hateful rhetoric, bigoted and dangerous policy proposals and bullying and demeaning anyone who disagrees with him. He is temperamentally unfit to act as President.

The research shows that Hillary Clinton supports our right to organize. Unfortunately, Donald Trump has a history of union busting and his policy positions guarantee more of the same.

Your union, the IATSE, has done the research and recommends Hillary Clinton for president. Your decision will affect your job and your family.
